ERC Inclusion and Anti-Racism Committee
Declaring Black Lives Matter, ERC formed its Inclusion & Anti-Racism Committee in 2020 after Ahmaud Arbury’s murder while on a run and many other cases of racial violence and overt manifestations of white supremacy. The committee works to advance inclusion (race, gender, sexual orientation, pace, age, abilities, economic status, etc.) in our club; promote a welcoming and safe space within ERC for all to benefit from the sport of running; and make personal connections with all members, guests, and others for a positive change in our diverse club and our community via inclusion and anti-racism learning, dialogue, programming and action.
Now is the perfect time to get started running. Follow this training program that uses walk/ run intervals to be ready for a 5k later this season.
The ERC recommends the time-tested training programs by Hal Higdon. Choose your level of running experience to begin your Half Marathon training.
